Biography

Vaklush Tolev was born on the 7th of January 1923, on Christmas day (by the former Orthodox calendar). His birthplace is Popovitsa village, Plovdiv District, Bulgaria.
He studied Law at the Juridical Faculty of the Sofia University. In 1946 he was expelled from the University (by the communist regime) on political grounds. He spent many years in prison and camps where he wrote poetry, drama, philosophical essays, studied German, French and English.
Vaklush Tolev came under an amnesty and later graduated the Theological Academy in Sofia. He worked at the Plovdiv Bishopric as a librarian, where he arranged the First icon exhibition in cooperation with the Department of Culture at the Plovdiv Municipality.
In 1991 Vaklush Tolev started lecturing course on history of religions at Plovdiv and Sofia Universities, as well as presenting lectures in the scientific and cultural centers all over the country.
After the idea of Vaklush Tolev the “Way of Wisdom Society” Association was founded. It works to unlock the spiritual potential of the nation and studies the guiding principles of the spiritual and cultural evolution of mankind.
Vaklush Tolev is the author of the trilogy “History and theory of religions” and of the book The Seven Rays of Evolution, which all offer a new view upon the presence of the spiritual and occult knowledge in the personal, social and historical being of the humanity. Vaklush Tolev is also the author of the NUR magazine as well as The Messages of the Planetary Logos Almanach. His latest book is called “Spiritual gifts of Bulgaria”, and the book “Wisdom in scriptures” is forthcoming.
Vaklush Tolev is the author of the idea of establishing a Day and building a Shrine Memorial of the Named 13 Immortal Bulgarians in the Bulgarian national history. From a global human perspective, he has proposed a clause on the rights of the soul to be included in the Human Rights Charter by removing the “anathema” from the religions and the term “enemy” from social civic relations.
The ideas of Vaklush Tolev are not only sagacious interpretations in the sphere of philosophy, history, sociology, theology etc., but also they are a contribution to the future as a vision for the presence of humanity in the Third Millennium. For the first time in the world Vaklush Tolev gives the Doctrine of Hierarchy of the Spiritual Waves and proclaims the consecutive Spiritual Wave – of Wisdom.
